Multiple layers of glass are stacked to create depth and dimension within each heart design. These layers can include diffeerent additional elements like glass frit (small granules of glass), glass stringers (thin glass rods) or glass decals may be added to enchane each design. The assembled glass pieces are placed in a kiln and heated to a specific temperature, allowing the glass to melt and fuse together. The exact temperature and firing schedule depend on the type of glass and the desired effect.
